Selamat Datang ke Bali Indah!

We arrived at Denpasar International Airport slightly after the 9.45pm mark, which stated on the ticket and marveled at how old skool the place looks. heeh. a huge contrast lah from the airport we're from. Terminal 1 looks light years ahead compared to their's. i almost kiss the concrete flooring when we got off the plane cos the turbulance while on the air was so great that my seat was shaking ferociously, making me dizzy. A'in squeezed my hand throughout and constantly reminding me we're on Garuda, which was bloody annoying cos then she got me all panicky and scenes of plane crashes kept rolling in and out of my mind.

heh. choi!

got to our bags and was lost for a moment amidst the huge crowd of 'ang-mohs'. dammit! the place was swamped with them. fortunately our dear mini-bus driver (which has been prebooked) picked us up at the taxi stand as soon as we step out of the airport entrance, leid us in bright tropical orange and immediately took us to the heart of Kuta! (which seems like a total buzzkill except that i was facinated to see the boogie boards, sleeveless-tees, board shorts, surf boards and flip flops in lieu of t-shirts and jeans)

clubs lined with bright colourful lights and the streets were busied with tanned happy faces, holding on to a bottle of 'bintang' beer on one hand and a cigarette on the other, shaking hips to the loud blasting music. honestly, i was relieved when the driver took us further from the kecohness and into the outskirts of the town, and finally to our hotel - melastri, a three-star graded of sorts.

get this, none of us, (a total of 10) had brought along our cammy, so i had to use my soulmate (handphone) to take pictoores since blindfaith blew me off with his lumix and charmimgeyes was nice enough to step up and offer me his powershot, only that it broke down at the eleventh hour, while we were trying to take snaps at Changi airport. felt disappointed a lil, but, haiyah.

sigh.

and since everyone (i repeat, a total of 10) had depended on me for taking photos on this trip, we were left with the camera technology attached to our handphones. heh. i know. bloody pathetic. but we have to make do with anything at that point of time.

bunked into a room with a'in, and it was already close to midnight. talks of having a really long hot shower arose, but we fell asleep as soon as we dumped our stuff one side and lay our heads down on the soft bed unchanged. i was shagged from the errands in the morning and shibby's wedding (yes, i didn't give it a miss thank you very nice). jolted up at around three-ish to go to the loo, and had a hard time getting back to sleep due to the uncanny looking statues hung on the wall surrounding the room. i hadn't noticed any of thoes when we entered the room. which is sungguh menyeramkan lah! i pulled the thick blanket over my face and said a prayer or two, but still having trouble sleeping. so i dragged a'in up and went down to the reception to ask if i could change to another one. heh.

typical kan??!.

the nice male receptionist was'nt at all disturbed and even help us to lung our bags to another room, equally as big as the previous, only that this time the wall was decorated with paintings of flowers and plants. phew!

i slept like a baybee till late morning after that. hee.

p.s: i almost pulled all my hair out when i realised my nano was missing from my haversack. DAMMYOUBAGGAGEPPL!!
